This blog is based on a personal relationship with the God of the Bible and His Son, Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of my life. If you have never met them, let me introduce you.
John 3:16 says “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
God’s Son, Jesus, came to live on earth as a human and gave His life as the sacrifice for sin. He was brutally beaten and crucified, a death to which He willingly surrendered because of His love for God, and His love for us. But what makes Him so very different from others that were martyred is that He rose from the grave – this is what accomplished the victory for us and gives us access to this amazing relationship with a Holy God!!
We all know we sin – we do the wrong things. Without Jesus, our sin keeps us separate from God. Accepting Jesus’ free gift of salvation – eternal life and freedom from the power of sin – is as simple as acknowledging to God that you’ve sinned, and asking Him to forgive you. 1 John 1:9 says “If we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. It really is that simple. Ephesians 3:17 says “May Christ through your faith actually dwell – settle down, make His permanent home – in your hearts!”
You were created to fellowship with God. He longs to have a passionate, intimate relationship with you – and He’s waiting for you to just say “yes”. Take this amazing free gift that is offered to you and find out what real purpose is in this life!
